The Norvice "series" are easy patterns that are easy to understand and knit.

Novice Sweater - Chunky Edition is knitted from the top down. Meaning. that you start by knitting the rib at the neckline. then the carrier piece. then the body and finally the sleeves. The sweater is knitted in stockinette stitch. while the edges are worked in rib.

Novice Sweater - Chunky Edition has a round yoke. It is formed by that along the way, four rounds of increases are knitted evenly distributed on the support piece.

Size guide and measurements

Note. that you can only proceed from the measurements in the recipe. if the knitting strength is observed.

The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL correspond to chest measurements of approximately 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) 140-150 cm. Novice Sweater - Chunky Edition should have a movement space ( positive ease ) of approximately 18 cm. It means. that if you measure, for example, 95 cm around the chest (measure yourself with a measuring tape around the chest or the part of your body that is widest). you should knit a size M. which has an excess of 114 cm. In the example mentioned, a sweater in size M will give a movement space of 19 cm.

The model in the picture wears a size XS and has a chest measurement of 82 cm and is 164 cm tall.
