Novice Slipover
Novice Slipover
Novice Slipover an easy and simple slipover that is knitted from top to bottom in stockinette stitch. The back piece is worked first, and then stitches are picked up in the cast-on edge of the back piece to form shoulders, which are gathered at the front to form the front piece.
The back and front piece are gathered under the armhole to form the body, which is knitted in the round on circular needle. Finally, rib edges are knitted along the neck opening and armholes. There are help videos for every step of the recipe.
Size guide
Novice Slipover should have some room to move ( positive ease) of approx. 17 cm in relation to your chest measurement. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL correspond to chest measurements of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 ( 130-140) 140-150 cm. Measure yourself before you start knitting to determine which size will fit you best. For example, if you measure 90 cm around the chest (or the widest part of your body), you should knit a size S, which has an excess of 107 cm. This will give a room for movement ( positive ease) of 17 cm in the example mentioned.
