Melange Sweater Man

Melange Sweater Man is a nice and classic men's sweater that is knitted from the top down. First, the upper part of the back is knitted back and forth, with the shoulder slope shaped with a double needle. At the bottom of the back, reductions are knitted. The shoulders are then knitted separately back and forth on circular needle. These are gathered at the front to form the front piece. Front and back are joined to form the body, which is knitted in the round on circular needle. The sleeves are knitted from gathered sts along the sleeve opening and knitted in the round on circular needle and double pointed needles or Magic Loop technique. The ribbed edge of the neck is knitted from the gathered stitches in the neck opening, and it is folded double and knitted down. Melange Sweater is knitted in two strands of thin wool yarn in contrasting colors to achieve a melange.

Knit a test piece to find the needle size that gives you the right knitting strength.

Melange Sweater One should have room to move ( positive ease) of approx. 10-15 cm in relation to your chest measurement. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL correspond to a chest measurement measured on your own body of 86-91 (91-96) 96-101 (101-107) 107-113 (113-119) ) 119-124 (124-132) 132-144 cm. The measurements of the finished sweater are given on the front of the pattern. Measure yourself before you start knitting to determine which size will fit best. For example, if you measure 103 cm around the chest (or the widest part of the body), you should knit a size L. A sweater in size L has an excess width of 118 cm and in the mentioned example will provide a room for movement ( positive ease ) of 15 cm.

Materials: 550 (600) 600 (650) 700 (750) 800 (850) 900 g Thin Peer Gynt from Sandnes Garn (50 g = 205 m) (knit with double thread). Note that two threads are knitted at the same time and that the yarn consumption indicates the total yarn consumption.
