Friday Sweater Mini, a classic model which is knitted from top to bottom in pearl rib with raglan openings.

The neckline is worked in rib and worked down.

Sleeves and body are finished by a ribbed edge.

Knit a test piece before you start. Remember to wash the test patch. before the knitting strength is measured - pearl rib grows in the wash.

Size guide

The Friday Sweater Mini should have a range of motion ( positive ease) of approx. 10-13 cm in relation to the child's chest measurement. The measurements of the finished sweater are given on the front of the pattern. Measure the child. before you start knitting. to assess which size. that will fit best. For example, if the child measures 63 cm around the chest. should you knit a size 5-6 years. A sweater in size 5-6 years has an overall width of 74 cm and will, in the mentioned example, provide a room for movement ( positive ease ) of 11 cm.

Knitting density: 28 stitches x 44 rows in pearl rib on needles 3 mm = 10 x 10 cm after washing and blocking

Note. that before washing the knitting strength will be approximately 35 stitches per 10 cm

Guide needles: Circular needle 3 mm (40 and 60 cm). circular needle 2.5 mm (40 or 60 cm). double pointed needles 2.5 mm and 3 mm (unless using Magic Loop technique)

Note. that the yarn consumption can vary by a few grams.
