Basic-Sweater My Size is knitted in the soft Snowflake from CaMaRose. The sweater is knitted from top to bottom. To give the sweater the perfect fit, reverse rows are knitted at the neck. Basic sweater my size has a simple construction and only consists of knit and purl stitches.

The fact that the sweater is knitted from the top down. means that you can decide the length of the bodice and the sleeves yourself.

  • Knitting strength: In the recipe, 3 different knitting strengths are indicated. It is therefore recommended to knit a knitting sample first. you get started with the model. This is to achieve the stated objectives. If the knitting tension differs by just one m per measured 10 cm. the finished sweater can vary by up to 7 cm in chest measurement. It is therefore recommended to first knit a knitting sample as indicated. If the knitting strength does not match, try using a larger or smaller needle. After finding the knitting tension and chest measurement with the 10 cm. the desired size is found.
  • Knitting sample: Cast on 24 stitches and knit as follows: 1st row (w-side): Knit all m. BUT the first and last m. which are edge sts. knit R. 2nd row (R side): Knit all stitches. Repeat 1st - 2nd p. until the piece measures approx. 15 cm and close from ir and staple end. Lay the finished knitting sample flat and now measure 10 cm horizontally and count the number of stitches within the 10 cm. When the number of m per 10 cm has been measured. you find one of the 3 specified knitting strengths.
