Ærø Single Cask Rum 48%

Ærø Single Cask Rum is made with Molasses from the Caribbean Sea.

The barrels are of Spanish oak with medium+ firing on the inside. The barrels were filled as new with Oloroso sherry, which matures in the barrel for approx. 24 months. After this, we took the casks home and filled them with our Ærø Rum.

The rum has a completely natural colour, without caramel, E-numbers and without added sugar. So a relatively dry rum, where we clearly sense sweetness from sugar cane and notes of dry sherry.

This year's batch is released for sale around 1 November and is then primarily sold until Christmas or while stocks last. The bottles are numbered by hand with bottle & barrel number.

Aged 6 years in Oloroso sherry casks.
