Gooseberry Poncho is perfect all year round, it is a mix between a poncho and a vest; it has armholes like a vest, but it is loose and functions as outerwear, like a poncho.
The poncho is knitted from the bottom up. First, knit the edge of the leaf with some of the berries back and forth. After this, stitches are picked up around the edge and the last berries are knitted, after which a purl is knitted to shape the front and back of the poncho. The body piece is then knitted in the round until it is divided into armholes. The poncho is finished with a ribbed turtleneck.
